Social Media Management · Cork

Social media that grows your business, not just your followers.

Followers are great. Likes are great. But the only number that pays the rent is the number of paying customers.

Most social media management is built around vanity metrics because they are easier to grow than real ones. I do it differently. Organic content first, paid amplification second, and metrics that connect back to revenue, not ego.

Charlie Johns, social media manager for Cork businesses

The Approach

Organic first. Paid when it earns its place.

You cannot pay your way out of bad content. If your organic posts are not working, your paid posts will not either. They will just fail faster and with more witnesses.

So I always start with the organic foundation. Voice, format, what to post about, what to stop posting about, how often, and which platforms are worth your time. Three to six weeks of that, and we have a clear picture of what your audience actually responds to.

Then, and only then, we layer paid amplification on top. Meta ads (Facebook and Instagram) to put the best-performing organic content in front of more of the right people. Sometimes a small budget. Sometimes a serious one. Whatever the maths supports.

Paid social is an amplifier, not a fix. If we have nothing worth amplifying, we are not running ads.

Platforms

Which platforms I manage. And which I will not.

The mix depends on your business. There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Here is how I think about it.

LinkedIn

For B2B services and professional B2C. The single most valuable platform for most service businesses in Cork. Personal brand work tied to the company brand.

Instagram

For visual businesses. Hospitality, retail, ecommerce, fitness, beauty. Reels matter more than the grid in 2026. I post both.

Facebook

Not what it was. But for Cork-specific local businesses and older audiences, still worth being on. Lower effort, higher reach in groups.

TikTok (selective)

If your audience is on TikTok and you can shoot vertical video weekly, yes. If not, no. I will not pretend to run TikTok for a business that has no business being on TikTok.

What I will not run.

X (Twitter) is no longer a serious commercial platform for most small businesses in Ireland. Threads is too quiet. Pinterest is a specialist play for specific industries (interiors, weddings, food) and I will refer you to someone better if that is your only fit. Community management at scale (responding to every DM in real time) is outside my scope. I check and respond to messages once a day during business hours.

What's included

What you get in a retainer.

Strategy in week one

Voice, format, posting cadence, content pillars, audience definition. Written down so we both know what we are doing.

2 to 7 posts per week

Depends on the platform, the package, and what your audience actually wants. Quality over quantity. I would rather post three good posts than seven mediocre ones.

Stories and reels where they work

Reels and stories drive more reach than static posts on Instagram in 2026. I plan and produce them as part of the cadence.

Content creation (within reason)

I write captions and source/edit images. For video, I work with what you provide. If you need professional video shoots, I can connect you with someone, but it is outside the retainer.

Hashtag and SEO strategy

Yes, social search is now real. Instagram and TikTok are search engines too. Captions and hashtags written with that in mind.

Monthly reporting via Metricool

Engagement, reach, follower growth, profile visits, link clicks, and content performance breakdowns. Clear actions for next month.

Meta ads management

When we layer paid on top, I run the ads from the same account. Boosting, audience targeting, retargeting, lookalikes.

Real human responses

I check and reply to comments and DMs once a day during business hours. Not 24/7 community management, but consistent presence.

Content calendar shared with you

I send you next week's posts every Friday. You can flag changes by Monday morning. Otherwise it goes live.

Pricing

What it costs.

Per-week fees because that is how small businesses think about cost. Choose the package that fits. Mix and match platforms.

Single platform

€30/wk

One platform, 3 to 5 posts per week, monthly report.

Best for: getting started, single audience.

Two platforms

€55/wk

Two platforms, full content calendar, monthly report.

Best for: most Cork SMEs. The sweet spot.

Full social

€90/wk

Three platforms, weekly reels, Meta ads management, monthly report.

Best for: serious commitment to social as a channel.

Adding Meta ads.

If you want me to run Meta ads on top of organic, that is included from the Full Social tier onward. Below that, I can add ad management for an additional €30 to €60 per week depending on spend. Same money-back guarantee structure as Google Ads applies to the paid social side: 90 days for organic + paid combined, with measurable growth from an agreed baseline.

FAQ

Things people ask.

How quickly will I see more followers?

Honest answer: follower growth is slower than people expect, especially on Instagram and LinkedIn. The first 30 days are foundation work. Real audience growth usually shows from month two. By month three you should see meaningful change. If you are looking to go viral in week one, I am the wrong fit.

Do you create the photos and videos I post?

I write the captions, source stock or edit photos you provide, and design simple graphics. For original video and professional photography, you would need to provide raw material or commission separately. I can recommend videographers if needed.

What if I want to approve every post?

Fine for the first month while we calibrate the voice. After that, I send you next week's calendar every Friday. You flag changes by Monday morning. If you want approval on every single post indefinitely, the speed required for good social drops too much. Probably not the right fit.

Do you handle community management and DMs?

I respond to comments and DMs once per day during business hours, with sensible responses. Time-sensitive customer service through DMs (where someone wants a response in 30 minutes) is outside my scope. If you need that, you need an in-house person or a dedicated customer service tool.

Will you make me go viral?

No. Anyone who promises that is either lying or running a TikTok account for a 17-year-old. Viral is not a marketing strategy. Consistent, valuable content over months and quarters is. Sometimes a post will pop. Most will not. The plan does not rely on that.

Can I add Google Ads to this?

Yes. Plenty of clients run both. There are real efficiencies to having one person managing the whole paid acquisition picture. Combine and save 10% on combined fees.

Two ways to start.

Option 1. Book a 20-min call.

We talk. I learn about your business. You learn about how I work. No pitch deck, no pressure. If it is not a fit, I will tell you and point you at someone who is.

Option 2. Get the free audit.

Tell me your website and your industry. I spend an hour on it and come back with a report telling you exactly where you are leaking enquiries online. No call required. No follow-up unless you want one.
